Why take part?

Medics for Rare Disease is asking clinicians and medical students and allied healthcare professionals for help to raise awareness this Rare Disease Day.

 Rare Diseases affect 3.5 million people in the UK. These conditions may be individually rare but collectively they are common and patients with rare diseases share similar challenges, including waiting an average of five years to reach diagnosis. 

Raising awareness of Rare Disease amongst healthcare professionals is key to a timely diagnosis and better outcomes.
