The CSF Leak Association are currently offering a bursary to support a UK-based junior doctor to travel to, and attend, the 3rd annual Intacranial Hypotension Symposium on 8th February 2020 in Los Angeles.
The successful candidate will then be expected to report back to CSF Leak Association and Medics4RareDiseases about the their highlights of the conference, key messages and what they learned from the experience.
The symposium is organised by the US-based Spinal CSF Leak Foundation in partnership with Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre Department of Neurosurgery, and attracts experts and interested professionals from around the world.
It’s the only conference worldwide that covers topics specifically related to spinal CSF leaks. Leading clinicians in this topic from the fields of neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-radiology anaesthetics and pain management will be presenting.
There will be a track for medical professionals as well as a track for patients and caregivers and there will be an opportunity to network with clinicians from North America as well as those who have travelled from further afield.
This is an exciting opportunity for a UK-based junior doctor and we’re delighted to be working with the CSF Leak Association to promote this bursary.Dr Lucy McKay, CEO M4RD
