M4RD 2022 – a year in review

As we come to the end of 2022, the Medics4RareDiseases team would like to thank all those who have supported us and the work of M4RD as we have continued to deliver on the actions needed to address the unmet needs of both medical professionals and people living with rare conditions.

We’ve spent two years building a ‘wonder team’ and designing patient-centered, pragmatic education. We’ve clearly demonstrated that our approach benefits patients and clinicians alike. And now we just need to keep rolling it out: through M4RD’s own channels; through medical schools; through post-graduate training; through putting pressure in the right places within policy and public bodies.

As we look ahead to 2023 we are excited to start the year with the launch of our new Mental Health module which has been co-written with Rareminds and our 10th annual symposium “The Unusual Suspects: rare disease in every day medicine’ at the Royal Society of Medicine on 15th February. And we will be launching an exciting campaign ahead of Rare Disease Day so look out for more details about that at the beginning of January.  Make sure you join us for another year as we continue to drive an attitude change towards rare diseases and #DareToThinkRare
